Covid Safe Practices

For our in-person summer programs

Budo Accelerator’s top priority is keeping staff and students safe and healthy. We require parents to sign a COVID-19 Participation Waiver prior to the first-session.

These policies and procedures may change by the time our program begins. Other training formats will be considered based on then-current state and federal guidelines. This page will be updated with any changes and the parent / guardian of registered students will be notified via email.  

All Budo Accelerator summer program staff will be fully vaccinated prior to the start of our summer programs.   

Policies and Procedures

• Group size will be 14 or less

• Conduct visual wellness checks of all students upon arrival

• Routine hand washing and surface cleaning will be done prior to the start of each session

• Hand sanitizer and tissues will be available and easily accessible for all students and staff

• Sanitizing any shared materials prior to and after each use

• Mandatory face coverings for all staff, students, or parents who enter our facility 

• Nonessential visitors will not be allowed in our dojo during the program

Martial arts training activities will be done in one or more of the following formats: 

• Distanced and masked indoor or outdoor

• Partnered and masked indoor or outdoor (per CA state guidelines for organized sports activities). Students will stay with the same practice partner for the entire day. Our facility has one entire wall open to the outside with lots of airflow.
